President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov held meetings with religious leaders in the RT Cabinet on February,2.
During the meeting with Archbishop of Kazan and Tatarstan Anastasy current issues of Kazan eparchy including events dedicated to 400-anniversary of praising the Kazan icon of the Mother of God, activity of Kazan seminary were discussed.
Later on Rustam Minnikhanov met with Chairman of RT Muslim religious board, mufti Ildus hazrat Faizov. The parties debated general situation in republican Muslim ummah. In particular, Tatarstan mufti summarized results of 2011 and told about events to be held in 2012. Besides, he informed RT President RT Muslim religious board announced 2012 the Year of Koran within the confines of the Year of historical and cultural heritage.
Head of RT President Staff Yuri Kamaltynov and Chief of the Department under RT President on interaction with religious associations Marat Gatin attended the meetings with religious leaders.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
