Rustam Minnikhanov meets with Chairman of Public center of Tatar culture of the Republic of Poland Ezhi Shakhunevich

President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has today met with Chairman of Public center of Tatar culture of the Republic of Poland Ezhi Shakhunevich in the Kazan Kremlin.
According to the Director of Department for external relations under RT President – Aide to RT President on international issues Iskander Muflikhanov delegation of Polish Tatars led by Ezhi Shakhunevich is on a working visit in the capital of Tatarstan (February, 14-18, 2012). Representatives of Polish Tatars have come to discuss a number of joint projects meant to be realized in the sphere of investments, trade, and industry.
In the course of meeting Rustam Minnikhanov was told about opening of Trade House of the Republic of Tatarstan in Gdansk.
We remind that Tatarstan delegation led by the President Rustam Minnikhanov was on a working visit to Poland on December, 7, 2011. The visit favoured further mutually beneficial cooperation between Tatarstan and Pomeranian Voivodeship within the development of Russian-Polish relationships.

Ezhi Shakhunevich is a Vice chairman of Central council of Tatars of the Republic of Poland. In 2005 he became the Chairman of Public center of Tatar culture of the Republic of Poland named after Leon Krichinsky. Moreover, he is the founder of the Museum of Tatars. The Tatar holiday Sabantui has been held by initiative of Ezhi Shakhunevich since 2007.
Shakhunevich was the delegate of IV forum of the World Tatar Congress (Kazan, 2007) and took part in celebrations dedicated to 1000th anniversary of Kazan (2005).
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
