Rural areas cannot develop without livestock industry, President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov stated at a republican agricultural seminar-meeting on issues of agro-industrial complex.

Rustam Minnikhanov suggested focusing on minor forms of household for development of livestock sector, especially in those regions where big investors are not involved yet. He noted that there are projects in republic to be realized, like construction of sectional livestock farms. We have to pay more attention to training of specialists for rural areas, RT President said. He added that today not only agrarians, but teachers and other competent specialists are in demand in the country.

We have to give agrarians an opportunity to sell their production, provide access to markets, Rustam Minnikhanov said. He reminded that an Agro-industrial park is being constructed in Kazan for these purposes, and the same object will appear in Chistopol.

“The issue of supporting agricultural producers must be always controlled by the Ministry of agriculture and foodstuff,” Rustam Minnikhanov said. He thanked leadership of the ministry for organizing agricultural fairs in Tatarstan cities.
