Ildar Khalikov congratulates Almetievsk men on Defender of the Fatherland Day

Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan congratulated Almetievsk men on Defender of the Fatherland Day. A solemn event was held in the House of culture “Neftche” (Almetievsk).
Veterans of Great Patriotic War, participants of combat operations in Afghanistan and the Northern Caucasus, veterans of military service and future defenders of the Fatherland were invited to take part in the event.

Ildar Khalikov emphasized that ensuring worthy life of veterans is of great priority in republic. In particular, more than 15 thousand veterans have received to comfortable flats. The PM shared other achievements with the audience. First of all, it concerns natural population increase that was achieved in 2011 for the first time within 20 years.

The sum of gross regional product accounted for 1 trillion 250 bln roubles. Among municipal regions of the republic Almetievsk takes first places by many parameters in the rating of social and economic development.

Three high-tech medical centers are now functioning in Tatarstan, one of them located in Almetievsk. All in all, 8 bln roubles were allocated for health care modernization and more than 7 bln roubles - for realization of the program on education development strategy “Kilechek” in 2011.

Due to “Belekech” program more than 12 thousand places were provided in pre-school institutions. Major repair of multi-apartment housing, relocation from unfit houses are being efficiently implemented in republic.

The Prime Minister noted that it would be impossible to reach such results using only budget funding and sincerely thanked “Tatneft” company and Director general Shafagat Takhautdinov for solid support of Almetievsk social sphere and the whole Tatarstan.

Head of Almetievsk department of the military commissariat Colonel Rishat Sabirov congratulated defenders of the Fatherland on their holiday.
