Mintimer Shaimiev: Fund “Vozrozhdenie” has gained solid experience to carry out effective work in future

Results of work of the Republican fund “Vozrozhdenie” in 2011 have been summarized and tasks for 2012 set in the Kazan Kremlin.
For a short period the Republican fund “Vozrozhdenie” has gained solid experience to carry out effective work in future. Such a statement was made by Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev at a session of the Council of trustees of the Republican fund of cultural and historical monuments today.
The event was held in the Kazan Kremlin by Chairman of the Council of trustees of Fund “Vozrozhdenie” Mintimer Shaimiev. He informed that the Commission of RF Accounts Chamber has been inspecting activity of the fund within a month because not only republican but federal funds are spent for restoration of Bolgar and Sviyazhsk.
Mintimer Shaimiev marked that all plans that were made last year have been fulfilled. Several major objects are to be commissioned in 2012. Future work will be focused on restoration of other historical and cultural monuments. He stressed that implemented work should be intensified, especially in research sphere.
Mintimer Shaimiev informed that all necessary documents for inclusion of the old town of Bolgar and island town Sviyazhsk in the List of UNESCO World cultural and natural heritage have been prepared. Confirmation has been received that documents were checked for completeness and compliance with technical requirements. The next stage consists in interaction with experts of the International council on monuments and sites who are expected to visit Bolgar and Sviyazhsk this year.
Chairman of the Council of trustees of Fund “Vozrozhdenie” reminded that the printed Koran made for Tatarstan in Italy by special order was recognized by RF Ministry of culture as a cultural value. The certificate of Guinness book of records which confirms that this Koran is the biggest printed edition of Muslim Holy Scripture has been received.
From this year republican ministries and agencies will start organizing different events in Bolgar and Sviyazhsk for pupils. Besides, international conferences dedicated to development and history of Bolgar and Sviyazhsk are meant to be held.
Aide to RT President on social issues, CEO of Republican fund “Vozrozhdenie” Tatiana Larionova presented an annual report about the fund’s activity.
The Director of National center of Sh.Marjani institute of history of RT Academy of sciences Airat Sitdikov presented the program of archeological research on the territories of Bolgar town and island town Sviyazhsk in 2012-2014 years.
Head of RT President Staff Yury Kamaltynov, Deputy RT Prime Minister Zilya Valeeva, Deputy chairman of RT State Council Rimma Ratnikova and other officials took part in the event.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic.
