Tatarstan President is on a working trip in Jamnagar (India)

President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov is on a working trip in Jamnagar (India, Gujarat). Main purpose of the trip is acquaintance with manufacturing process at one of the most up-to-date enterprises in the country – oil-refining plant Reliance Industries.
Rustam Minnikhanov is accompanied by Director of the Department for external relations under RT President – Aide to RT President on international issues Iskander Muflikhanov, Director general of JSC Tatneft Shafagat Takhautdinov, Director general of JSC TAIF Albert Shigabutdinov, First deputy director general of JSC Tatneft Nail Maganov.
The oil-refining plant in Jamnagar is the sixth biggest plant in the world. It was built for less than three years. During the first months it started refining more than 20 sorts of crude oil.
Located in one of special economic zones of India, close to Gulf of Kutch and Middle East resources of crude oil, the plant occupies the area of more than 3 thousand hectares.
33 mln tons of oil per year can be refined at the enterprise. There are 50 technology departments at the plant jointly refining main flow of crude oil for getting different end products. The complex is surrounded by the “green zone” with 100 thousand mango trees.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
