Ildar Khalikov and Mintimer Shaimiev visit island - town Sviyazhsk

The island- town Sviyazhsk now faces two main problems – improvement of roads and absence of ideology of work in touristic season 2012. Such a statement was made by the Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov during a working trip to island- town Sviyazhsk.
Ildar Khalikov and Mintimer Shaimiev visited three objects under construction and restoration in the context of the project “Cultural heritage of Tatarstan: ancient city of Bolgar and island- town Sviyazhsk” - the church “Consolation of All Who Sorrow”, the Gateway Church and the Stables of the Dormition Monastery.
According to Ildar Khalikov, none of Russian regions invests such solid funds in construction and restoration of monuments as Tatarstan does. Thus, there is an opportunity to implement all works properly and in time. The PM stressed as well that we need a map of Sviyazhsk with indication of all objects and guides including federal roads and the object itself.
RT State Counselor, Chairman of the Supervisory board of the Republican fund for revival of historical and cultural monuments Mintimer Shaimiev marked that improvement of the island is a priority task this season, since works with use of heavy transport are almost finished.
RT Premier was not satisfied with work of the group of the State housing fund and Administration of Zelenodolsk region on fulfilling the RT President’s assignment dated 3.04.2011, which implies improvement of Sviyazhsk.
Ildar Khalikov focused on main issues on the agenda, in particular, timely commissioning of buildings, proper preparation and acquisition of resolutions on staff schedule and expenses for communal maintenance of organizations which take over new objects, organization of proper work of these objects.
Mintimer Shaimiev who had recently visited Greece, presented a crozier brought from the Central Macedonia to the Vicar of the Dormition Monastery, Father Siluan.
Father Siluan thanked Mintimer Shaimiev for the gift and assured that the crozier would be kept in the museum.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
