Master plan of creating Innopolis Kazan centre presented to President of Tatarsan

A development plan for an Innopolis Kazan innovative centre is planned to be officially published in May, Tatarstan minister of communication Nikolai Nikiforov told journalists after a meeting between President of Tatartsan Rustam Minnikhanov and general director of Singaporean RSP Architect, the project developer, Lee Tai Ker. A master plan for the Innopolis was presented to President of Tatarstan.
The innovative satellite town will be built in the Verkhny Uslon region of Tatarstan. A total of 150 thousand people, including several tens of thousands IT specialists, their families and personnel, are expected to be quartered on a space of 1,200 hectares.
According to N. Nikiforov, the Innopolis project plan would be published on the internet. “This is needed for a public debate of the project, so that investors and development institutions considered the project in terms of financing,” vice-premier noted.
Requisite documents for project’s phase one, envisaging providing conditions for 10 thousand specialists engaged in innovative industries, will be issued as early as this year. The total staff living in the Innopolis will at stage one be about 25 thousand.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
On 1 December Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in N.I. Lobachevsky Prize and Medal Award Ceremony held in Kazan Federal University and handed in the award to the Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Chief Researcher of the St. Petersburg Department of Steklov Mathematical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences Sergei Ivanov who was awarded for the outstanding achievements in fundamental and applied mathematics.
