Rustam Minnikhanov and Andrey Fursenko open Kazan venture fair

VII Kazan venture fair has opened today in the Tatarstan capital. President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and RF Minister of education and science Andrey Fursenko took part in solemn opening ceremony.
Vice RF Minister of economic development Oleg Fomichev, CEO of the Russian association of direct and venture investment Albina Nikkonen and other officials attended the ceremony.
Andrey Fursenko congratulated everyone on opening of the Kazan venture fair.
Vice RF Minister of economic development Oleg Fomichev also congratulated guests and participants of the event saying that the key to economic success of the country is in such interaction between business and power.
Being a big regional contract site for potential investors, the Kazan venture fair has been held every year since 2005 under the auspices of the republican president. The fair is organized by RT Investment venture fund and the Russian association of direct and venture investment.
Technology projects for Russian and European investors are presented at VII Kazan venture fair.
Traditionally among participants of the event are representatives of Russian and foreign venture funds, private investors, big corporations. 63 companies representing Russia, Lithuania (Vilnius), China (Beijing) take part in the current fair. Total cost of suggested projects makes 1,6 bln roubles. Average amount of required funding for one project is 25 mln dollars. Amount of investments in projects presented at last fair made 225 mln dollars.
The fair is traditionally rich in different events where participants can share their experience in the sphere of direct investment and venture capital, discuss common problems, and define efficient development strategies for their companies.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
