The Museum of bread has opened in Bolgar today. President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev, Chairman of State Council Farid Mukhametshin, Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov attended the solemn ceremony.
“We are celebrating a great holiday today, the day when Volga Bulgars officially adopted Islam. Our history is connected with bread. We have to remember it and explain the youth that bread is a very important thing in our life,” RT President said.
RT State Counselor thanked everyone who was involved in construction of the museum, expressing special gratitude to agricultural enterprises investing in construction.
The Commemorative book of benefactors and letters of gratitude were granted to Vice RT Premier – Minister of agriculture and foodstuff Marat Akhmetov and chiefs of agricultural enterprises.
Guests looked over objects of the museum - souvenir shop, miller’s house, main exposition, banya and utility buildings.

The museum of bread is an interactive museum of the history of agriculture and bread production on the Tatarstan land from ancient tines till 20th century.
The complex was constructed by investors and agricultural enterprises under the guidance of RT Ministry of agriculture and foodstuff for two years.
The Museum of bread with total area of 5 hectares comprises main exposition, miller’s estate, wind and water mills, bakery, farriery, open exposition of agricultural machinery, shopping stalls of craftsmen.
Archeological artifacts, ethnographic items connected with agricultural activity, documentary and video materials let imagine historical development of agriculture and improvement of instruments of labor of farmers. Exposition focuses on the age of Volga Bulgaria. The brightest part of the exposition is the holiday Sabantui.
Expositions are found in other buildings of the museum complex as well.
On March 10, the third meeting of the organizing committee on preparation and holding of the 20th anniversary Russian Venture Forum 2026 to be held in Kazan from April 8 to 10, chaired by Russian Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov and with participation of Tatarstan Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and co-chair of the forum’s organizing committee Aleksey Pesoshin, President of the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan Rifkat Minnikhanov, Director of the Investment and Venture Fund of Tatarstan Damir Galiev as well as representatives of federal and regional authorities, development institutions and partner organizations via videoconference, took place.

On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
