On June 11, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic, Deputy Minister of Economy Indira Kireeva said that Tatarstan Government will strive for the first place in the National Rating of the Investment Climate among Russian regions.
Following the results of 2018, Tatarstan moved up one place in the national rating and ranked second. The evaluation criteria included 44 indicators and four areas: the regulatory environment, business institutions, infrastructure and resources, support for small business.
“We have room to grow. We will hold a detailed analysis of each of the 44 indicators, according to which the total score was calculated. Following the identification of strengths and weaknesses, at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Tatarstan, a set of tasks for further work on the improvement of the investment climate will be established. We will set a more ambitious goal - to return the first place in our National Rating,” Kireeva said.
Tatarstan is among the top three leaders in the National Rating of the Investment Climate among Russian regions fifth year in a row. The republic ranked first three times.
Over the past ten years, the share of investments in the GRP of the republic annually exceeded on average 30 per cent, which is consistently above the average Russian level, the speaker said.
