President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov arrives in Tatarstan
On June 23, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan, was met by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Chairman of Tatarstan State Council Farid Mukhametshin, Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin at the Kazan International Airport.
Upon arrival, Turkmenistan delegation headed by Berdymukhamedov got acquainted with the exhibition of industrial products manufactured in Tatarstan. KAMAZ Automaker intoduced its trucks, buses, including those working on gas and electric buses. The Kazan Helicopter Plant presented an Ansat light helicopter equipped with a medical module. Turkmenistan President also got acquainted with new technologies in the area of oil production and refining, introduced by Tatneft Oil Company.
The main part of the business programme will be a bilateral meeting of Tatarstan President and Turkmenistan President in the Kazan Kremlin and negotiations in an expanded format. During the meeting, it is planned to discuss promising areas of cooperation and to sign a number of agreements in car manufacturing, petrochemistry and education.
Berdimuhamedov and Minnikhanov will also visit the Tatar national holiday “Sabantuy” in Kazan. Turkmenistan delegation also included deputy chairmen of the government, ministers of foreign affairs, sports and youth policy and culture.
