Rustam Minnikhanov: 750 thousand high-performance workplaces to be created in Tatarstan by 2020 due to construction and modernization of production works

“Realization of big projects aimed at maximum processing of hydrocarbon materials will favour competitive growth of Tatarstan. These projects are “TANECO”, “Ammoni”, construction of ethylene production plant with capacity of 1 mln tons per year at OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim, and Complex for advanced processing of heavy charge at OAO “TAIF-NK”,” the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov stated presenting his annual message to deputies at a session of the Tatarstan State Council.
The session took place in a big concert hall named after Salikh Saidashev. Representatives of federal and republican authorities, local self-government, public and religious organisations, trade unions, business, education, health care, culture and mass media, by and large, about 700 people, were invited to the event.
According to Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan’s oil-gas-chemical complex is rapidly developing. OAO Tatneft, the leader of the economy, show parameters of sustainable development based on modern technologies of oil production.
Head of republic noted that “Gasprom transgas Kazan” ensures stable operation of petrochemical and energy complexes.
OAO KAMAZ makes considerable contribution to Tatarstan development. The Russian President supported initiative of the enterprise on organisation of the industry engineering center “Modelling structures and technologies in the automobile industry”. The center will provide necessary modern infrastructure for automobile complex for developing new models of automotive vehicles and training world-class personnel.
The Tatarstan President also noted that SEZ Alabuga is successfully developing. 31 resident companies with amount of declared investments of more than 3 bln US dollars are currently registered on its territory.
“For the next 10 years Trans-Kama area will be the main growth point of the republican economy. Construction of new plants and modernization of the old ones, creation of high-performance workplaces require advance formation of engineering and social infrastructure. The Program on development of Kama innovation territorially territorial-production cluster supported by the Russian Government aims to undertake this mission. Next step is inclusion of projects in federal programs,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
Owing to new class of ships Zelenodolsk shipbuilding plant faces big prospects.
President of Tatarstan noted that production of new models of aircrafts is introduced at the Kazan helicopter plant.
One of priority tasks is increase of labour efficiency, he said further. In the context of performance of the RF President’s order it is meant to create 750 thousand high-performance workplaces by means of construction of new and modernization of old production works by 2020.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
