On November 4, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin watched the recorded Parking play that won the regional round of the Theatre Volga Region Festival.
The Parking was staged by a group of students of the Kazan State Institute of Culture based on Sumbel Gaffatova’s play. The drama tells the story of a woman named Fatima who decides to reconsider her values and life priorities in the difficult period of her life.
The Theatre Volga Region public project is implemented in the Volga Federal District to involve young people in the theatre environment, to form humanistic and patriotic values, as well as to create new incentives for the development of youth theatre art.
As many as 483 theater groups, including 114 student and 369 school theatres, from all district regions took part in the regional round of the festival.
