Energy intensity of Tatarstan’s GRP to be reduced by 19 percent

Session of the RT Cabinet “Concerning realization of the long-term special-purpose program “Energy saving and increase of energy efficiency in the Republic of Tatarstan for 2010-2015 and prospects till 2020” was held within the framework of the 14th international specialized exhibition “Energy. Resource saving” and the 13th international symposium “Energy resource efficiency and energy saving”.
The session took place in a business center at OAO “Kazanskaya yarmarka”.
The Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov participated in the event.
Deputy PM and Minister of industry and trade Ravil Zaripov informed that according to results of 2012, energy intensity of Tatarstan’s GRP would be reduced by 19 percent as related to 2007.
Industry, including energy sector, makes up the bulk of GRP. Industrial sector consumes more than 80 percent of resources.
In general, Tatarstan takes the 22nd place among Russian regions by energy intensity of GRP. Maximum specific consumption of energy resources go to chemical and petrochemical industries.
The following enterprises demonstrated best figures of energy intensity decrease of industrial output in 2012 – “Kazanorgsintez”, “Gasprom transgas Kazan”, “Spartak” factory, OKB “Soyuz”, OJSC “KAMAZ” and OJSC “Tatneft”.
Minister of industry and trade said that facilities of many energy companies had deteriorated.
One of the important areas in implementation of the state energy saving policy is increase of efficiency of energy resource use at government-financed institutions. The goal to reduce energy consumption at government-financed institutions by 3 percent in 2013 was set in Tatarstan.
Ravil Zaripov mentioned that the RT Government had allocated 10 mln roubles for establishment of demonstration centers in the sphere of energy saving. Such centers are to be opened in Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizhnekamsk, Almetievsk, Bogatye Saby by the end of 2012.
Director General of OAO “Generation company” Ilshat Fardiev reported on implementation of measures in the sphere of energy saving and increase of energy efficiency.
Chairman of UNECE Committee on Sustainable Energy Sigurd Heiberg also made a speech at a session.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects.
