Rustam Minnikhanov: Tatarstan is willing to study conditions of work under WTO conditions

The Republic of Tatarstan being the region that exports up to 50 % of industrial produce is willing to study new conditions of work after Russia has joined WTO. The Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov made such a statement in Geneva at a training seminar on issues of work under WTO conditions.
The seminar is held in the Centre William Rappard (Geneva).
Rustam Minnikhanov said that republic was interested in entering new product markets since it was important for further development of the region’s economy.
Deputy PM, Minister of agriculture and foodstuff Marat Akhmetov, Deputy PM, Minister of industry and trade Ravil Zaripov, Minister of economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov, Minister of transport and road facilities Lenar Safin, Chief executive of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Linar Yakupov, Director General of OAO “Tatneftekhiminvest-holding” Rafinat Yarullin, Aide to the Tatarstan President Radik Gimatdinov, Aide to the Tatarstan President Airat Khairullin participated in the seminar.
Members of the Tatarstan delegation were interested the following issues: opportunity of granting tax privileges to home producers, rules of backing agricultural producers under WTO conditions, inflow of direct investments after joining WTO.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
