Rustam Minnikhanov holds first session of Investment Council of the Republic of Tatarstan

First session of Investment Council of the Republic of Tatarstan chaired by the Tatarstan President was held Rustam Minnikhanov was held at the RT Government House.

The Investment Council of the Republic of Tatarstan was founded in accordance with the RT President’s Decree dated as of July, 5, 2012 № 538 for the purpose of realizing RT laws “On foreign investments in the Republic of Tatarstan”, and “On investment activity in the Republic of Tatarstan”, and for improving investment climate of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The council is a collegiate authority for attracting investments to the republican economy chaired by the Tatarstan President was held Rustam Minnikhanov.
Participants of the session considered main tasks on organizational-technical and information-analysis support of activity of the RT Investment Council and increase of republic’s investment attractiveness.

Member of the Investment Council, Chief executive of the RT Investment Development Agency Linar Yakupov made a report.

To the point, the Republic of Tatarstan is a pilot region to test the Standard of activity of executive authorities of the RF entity on ensuring favourable investment climate in Tatarstan. The Standard was developed by the Agency of strategic initiatives. Measures on ensuring investment climate taken by heads of the Republic of Tatarstan, Lipetsk, Kaluga, Sverdlovsk, Ulyanovsk and Perm regions influenced content of the Standard.

Bashkortostan, Astrakhan, Belgorod, Chelyabinsk, Yaroslavl, and Leningrad regions started adopting the standard in 2012.

Participants of the session discussed proposals on optimizing the process aimed at attraction of investments to the Republic of Tatarstan. Rustam Minnikhanov said that both heads of municipalities and chiefs of ministries and agencies must do their best to implement the mentioned task. The RT Investment Development Agency plays a key role in it.
