President of Tatarstan discusses prospects of cooperation of Tatarstan medical institutions with “Cotton Way” Company

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has visited the presentation of “Cotton Way” Company at Children’s Republican Clinical Hospital. The company’s solutions on rental of bedclothes and clothing for medical personnel were presented to Rustam Minnikhanov.
Cotton Way is one of the largest Russian companies dealing with rental and professional laundry of textile. Among company’s major customers is OAO “Russian railways”. Within the last nine months the company has been cooperating with Tatarstan medical institutions.
Types of bedclothes and professional clothing for medical institutions and a special machine for giving out outfits to personnel were presented to the Tatarstan President today.
Cotton Way Director General Aleksandr Utkin said that the company rendered services to the Republican Clinical Hospital and Children’s Republican Clinical Hospital. To do this, the company had modernized a factory for bedclothes laundry in a train shed at the Kazan railway station. State-of-the-art Italian equipment and technologies made the Kazan factory the most up-to-date in Russia.
Tatarstan’s Minister of health care Airat Farrakhov told that passing laundry services for outsourcing enabled hospitals to stop performing non-core activity and receive high-quality services. According to the minister, the company had acquired good reputation.
Cotton Way Director General Aleksandr Utkin informed that the company intended to develop its business in Tatarstan. To build a new factory, they need a guaranteed order. It can be the state order for servicing all Kazan medical institutions. Hotels, sports centers and social institutions can become company’s customers afterwards.
President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov supported the idea of attracting third-party companies for servicing medical institutions and requested to consider the issue in detail.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
