Rustam Minnikhanov: Traffic safety ensuring has to do with each of us

“Safety control of passenger transportations by suburban and intercity transport must be enhanced,” the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said at a session of the RT Cabinet on issues of realization of the federal targeted program “Increasing traffic safety in 2006-2012”. The session was held by Tatarstan’s PM Ildar Khalikov in video conference format with participation of all municipal regions.
Rustam Minnikhanov suggested making up a rating of auto schools to see which of them train drivers that cause most accidents on republican roads.
President of Tatarstan also asked to put much emphasis on training drivers for public city transport. “We should not see occasional people here, since safety of passengers depends on their professional skills,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
“Traffic safety ensuring has to do with each of us, not only employees of the Ministry of the interior and the Department of State Traffic Safety Inspectorate. We also have to pay attention to maintenance of speed rate and improve driving culture,” Rustam Minnikhanov noted.
On 12 January, congratulating employees of the prosecutor’s office with their professional holiday - Day of the employee of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation- Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin wrote in his address:
“For more than three centuries the prosecutor's office has been the guardian of state and public security as well as constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens of our country.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatutllin informed that in the current year the Ministry will take part in implementation of five national projects and three state programmes with planned construction and capital overhaul of 172 facilities for the total sum of 17bn rubles.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov informed that it is expected to achieve a comparable growth of produce of 1.5%, including that in food production - at least 2.6% in the agricultural sector.
On 4 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situation and ensuring fire safety of the republic, has taken a decision to put into operation the “Buran” (Snow storm) plan in Tatarstan starting from 2 pm on 4 January until the consequences of adverse meteorological events are eliminated by ministries, departments and organizations which ensure the smooth movement of road and rail transport in winter.
