President of Tatarstan inspects new road in Kazan and visits Kachalov theatre under reconstruction

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited two objects under construction. He was accompanied by Tatarstan’s PM Ildar Khalikov and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin.
The Tatarstan President drove through new motor road that connects Amirkhan and Maximov streets. The 1650-metre stretch road was constructed between two plants – the Kazan Aviation Production Association and the Kazan Motor-building Production Association. It is meant to considerably improve transport situation in Aviastroitelny district of the Kazan city.
Construction of the road cost 400 mln roubles. The project aimed at reconstruction of the crossing on Maximov and Dementiev streets was also presented to Rustam Minnikhanov.
Further plans on developing transport infrastructure of the Aviastroitelny district imply construction of a road connecting Amirkhan and Maximov streets with M7 highway.
Rustam Minnikhanov also visited Kachalov theatre under reconstruction. According to theatre’s Director Aleksandr Slavutsky, the renewed Kachalov theatre will become one of the largest in Russia and open its doors on August 30, 2013.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
