Rustam Minnikhanov: Investigation department is a modern structure responding to security challenges and threats, requirements of the society and citizens’ expectations

“RT Investigation department of the RF Investigation Committee fulfilled tasks set in 2012,” President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said at an extended board session of the RT Investigation department.
The event was held in Kazan (Korston) with participation of chief federal inspector on RT Rustam Idrisov, Tatarstan’s Prosecutor Kafil Amirov, Chairman of the RT State Council Farid Mukhametshin, Deputy PM Asgat Safarov, Chief of the RT Ministry of the interior Artem Khokhorin, Chairman of the Supreme Court Ilgiz Gilazov.
Head of the institution Pavel Nikolaev made key report at the session. Rustam Minnikhanov said that an integral structure of investigation department, which plays an important role in investigation of gravest and complicated crimes, had been established for a short period of its activity as an independent agency. The mechanism of interaction with other law enforcement bodies, control authorities and public organisations has been worked out.
“Investigation department is a modern structure responding to security challenges and threats, requirements of the society and citizens’ expectations. You are constantly developing. All necessary conditions for efficient protection of citizens’ rights and freedoms are being created,” the President said.
Due to joint and systemic work of law enforcement bodies, high professional skills of employees, criminal situation in Tatarstan remains stable.
“I am glad that citizens who suffered from unlawful actions more often address to investigation bodies for help. Growth of citizens’ confidence is the main factor of work’s assessment,” the Tatarstan President said.
According to Rustam Minnikhanov, last year was full of important events and quite successful. Great constructive work was fulfilled, all planned programs were implemented, new achievements were made in economy, construction, development of innovative projects, leading positions were kept in many spheres.
Rustam Minnikhanov also focused on tasks faced by the institutions in 2013. Main tasks are highly professional and timely investigation of criminal cases, focus on prevention of criminal offences. Ensuring citizens’ safety is becoming more urgent on the threshold of summer Universiade 2013. Issues of counteraction to safety threats on the part of religious extremist and terrorist organisations and integration of alien ideology into youth environment are under special control.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
