Mintimer Shaimiev holds meeting on organization of works on the island town of Sviyazhsk in 2013

State Counselor of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of the Board of guardians of the Republican Foundation for historical and cultural monuments Mintimer Shaimiev held a meeting on organization of works on the island town of Sviyazhsk in 2013.
Mintimer Shaimiev said that the meeting was aimed to determining amount of work for 2013 notable for hosting World student games. This year Sviyazhsk and Bolgar will be receiving a large number of tourists.
He reminded that Universiade Flame that was lit in July 2012 in Paris (University of Sorbonne) upon his personal participation was already travelling in Russia after a long journey around the world.
“Works must be carried out on a full scale, very intensively and in an orderly way. This summer multiple visitors will see our restoration and archeological work. In order not to lose face we must show ourselves real hosts receiving important guests,” Mintimer Shaimiev said.
He thanked everyone for almost three-year conscientious work.
Aide to the RT President, CEO of the Republican foundation “Renaissance” Tatyana Larionova presented the list of objects under restoration and construction on the island town of Sviyazhsk in 2013.
Issues on determining the scope of work to be continued next year were discussed at the meeting.
Head of the State Counselor’s Secretariat Evgeni Grishin, Minister of culture Airat Sibagatullin, Minister of transport and road construction Lenar Safin, rector of the Kazan Federal University Ilshat Gafurov, Head of Zelenodolsk municipal region Aleksandr Tygin, Director General of GUP “Tatinvestgrazhdanproekt” Adel Khusnutdinov, Director of the State historical and architectural and art museum “Island town of Sviyazhsk” Artem Silkin participated in discussion.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
