Rustam Minnikhanov meets with Director General of ITAR-TASS Sergei Mikhailov

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met with Director General of Information Telegraph Agency of Russia ITAR-TASS Sergei Mikhailov during his working trip in Moscow. They discussed current upgrades happening in ITAR-TASS, and cooperation with regions.

ITAR-TASS was founded in 1904. Currently, the agency presents 200 information products about economic, political, public, cultural and sport life in Russia and around the world.

ITAR-TASS is now interested in receiving a good deal of news from subjects of the federation. The agency now has its own television on the website. ITAR-TASS employees say that it is important so that people can not only read, but hear and watch regional news. Thus, there is a great demand for the so-called multimedia journalists who can write texts, make video and cuts.

Rustam Minnikhanov and Sergei Mikhailov also discussed the staff that will be involved in summer Universiade in Kazan. They suppose that information coverage of such an important sport event is All-Russian mission that cannot be realized without major information agencies.

The parties came to an agreement to continue the conversation in Kazan. Representatives of ITAR-TASS are going to arrive in Tatarstan in coming days.
