Russian Minister of defence Sergei Shoigu arrives in Kazan

Minister of defence of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu arrived in Tatarstan with a one-day working visit. Main purpose of the trip is visit to aircraft and helicopter engineering enterprises, acquaintance with construction of Tu-214 aircraft.
At the international airport “Kazan” Sergei Shoigu was met by President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Minister of industry and trade Ravil Zaripov, military Commissar of the Republic of Tatarstan Sergei Pogodin, Secretary of the Security Council Valery Vlasov.
Visit to the exhibition of produce of Tatarstan’s defence and industrial enterprises, participation in a meeting at OAO “Kazan helicopters”, and conversation with President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov are on the agenda.

On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatutllin informed that in the current year the Ministry will take part in implementation of five national projects and three state programmes with planned construction and capital overhaul of 172 facilities for the total sum of 17bn rubles.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov informed that it is expected to achieve a comparable growth of produce of 1.5%, including that in food production - at least 2.6% in the agricultural sector.

On 4 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situation and ensuring fire safety of the republic, has taken a decision to put into operation the “Buran” (Snow storm) plan in Tatarstan starting from 2 pm on 4 January until the consequences of adverse meteorological events are eliminated by ministries, departments and organizations which ensure the smooth movement of road and rail transport in winter.

On 3 January on the errand from the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situations and ensuring fire safety of the republic , held an urgent meeting of the Commission which discussed readiness of forces and means to ensure security during the New Year and Christmas holidays.
