On July 28, in Nizhnekamsk, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar took part in a signing ceremony of a Letter of Intent and a Road Map for the implementation of the investment project between Tatneft Oil Company and Allaur Automaker.
The draft agreement envisages the establishment of a joint venture and the construction of the plant for manufacturing tires for passenger car, light truck and truck in Kazakhstan. The estimated capacity of the new production is 3 million passenger and light truck tires and 0.5 million truck tires per year.
Production launch is scheduled for 2022. The project will create about 800 jobs.
Director General of Tatneft Oil Company Nail Maganov and Chairman of the Board of Allyur Automaker Andrey Lavrentyev signed the document.
According to Pesoshin, the new plant will meet the needs of the Kazakhstan market in modern tire products. He also said that the tire enterprises of the Tatneft produced over 10 million tires in 2019.
Sklar thanked for the cooperation and expressed confidence that the project will be successful.
