Gross income of Tatarstan communications industry accounted for 44 bln rubles in 2012. Share of the industry in republic’s GRP made 3.15 per cent. Such information was given by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Minister of informatization and communications Roman Shaikhutdinov at a board session of the ministry.
The session took place in the Kazan IT-park with participation of Russian Minister of communications and mass media Nikolay Nikiforov and President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
The number of state and municipal services rendered in electronic format increased from 86 to 138. The number of payments via the portal of state and municipal services and infomats increased from 1.1 mln to 1.8 mln. Roman Shaikhutdinov noted that the level of penetration of broadband Internet access made 70 per cent. The number of mobile users in Tatarstan made 6.3 mln.
In March 2012 Tatarstan was the first in Russia to launch digital TV broadcasting in DVB-T2 format on the base of Kazan TV center.
In 2012, the amount of investments in development of capital funds of communication enterprises made 6.4 bln rubles. Net sales of resident companies of High technology technopark IT-park made 4.2 bln rubles.
Roman Shaikhutdinov informed that investments in construction of first stage of innovative satellite city “Innopolis” from all funding sources would make 30.8 bln rubles.
Russian Minister of communications and mass media Nikolay Nikiforov delivered a speech at the session.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
