Rustam Minnikhanov: Wide experience in preservation of cultural heritage sites has been gained in Tatarstan

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov participated in research and practice conference “Private-public partnership as the efficient tool of preservation of Russia’s cultural heritage sites.” Plenary session of the conference was held at the Kazan City Hall.
Tatarstan’s State Counselor, Chairman of the Board of guardians of the Republican fund for historical and cultural monuments Mintimer Shaimiev, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, businessmen were present at the event.
Participants of the conference discussed systemic approaches to state policy implementation in terms of preservation and use of cultural heritage sites on terms of private-public partnership on the federal level.
Rustam Minnikhanov addressed guests with welcoming speech:
“Today we are going to discuss an issue that is urgent not only for the Republic of Tatarstan and Russian Federation. Nowadays, it is essential to preserve cultural heritage and search for right forms of work in this sphere.”
Rustam Minnikhanov continued that the first President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev had founded the Republican fund for historical and cultural monuments. In the meantime, wide experience in preservation of cultural heritage sites has been gained in republic.
President of Tatarstan said: “On the threshold of summer Universiade 2013, we have understood that much emphasis should be put on preservation of cultural heritage sites in the center of Kazan.”
Rustam Minnikhanov is sure that implementation of such large-scale projects in the ancient city of Bolgar and the island town of Sviyazhsk would be impossible without private-public partnership.
Summing up, President of Tatarstan thanked participants and people involved in organization of the conference, and wished efficient work.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
