“Renaissance” foundation: three years of work “from our heart and for one’s heart”

Three years since establishment of the Republican foundation for historical and cultural monuments “Renaissance” is celebrated today. The RT President’s decree about establishment of the foundation was signed on February, 17, 2010. The decree determined main mission of the foundation: assistance in preservation and reconstruction of Bolgar historical-architectural museum reserve, architectural and artistic restoration of the State historical-architectural and art museum “Island town of Sviyazhsk”.
The Board of guardians is headed by the First President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev, CEO of the foundation is Aide to the RT President on social issues Tatyana Larionova. The parity federal and republican program “Cultural heritage of Tatarstan: island town of Sviyazhsk and ancient Bolgar” was approved due to support of the Russian President Vladimir Putin and President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. Successful implementation of the program was possible owing to overall support: contribution of philanthropists is another important source of funding.
People of different professions, age, nationalities, religions, and class, enterprises and organisations of different types of ownership support activity of the foundation.
The Board of guardians decided to put down names of all philanthropists in the Book of remembrance. Three volumes of the book with names of 22 thousand philanthropists have already been published. Major enterprises that undertook commitments on restoration of objects make enormous contribution to the project.
Major construction, restoration and archeological works started in Bolgar and Sviyazhsk in spring 2010. The International expert council was established for competent scientific support. Major Tatarstan, Russian and foreign companies take part in the project implementation. General designer of the project is the institute “Tatinvestgrazhdanproekt”. Reconstruction and construction of 31 objects in Sviyazhsk and 30 objects in Bolgar is carried out.
Russian President Vladimir Putin visited Sviyazhsk and Bolgar on August 28, 2012. He highly estimated the performed work.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatutllin informed that in the current year the Ministry will take part in implementation of five national projects and three state programmes with planned construction and capital overhaul of 172 facilities for the total sum of 17bn rubles.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov informed that it is expected to achieve a comparable growth of produce of 1.5%, including that in food production - at least 2.6% in the agricultural sector.
On 4 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situation and ensuring fire safety of the republic, has taken a decision to put into operation the “Buran” (Snow storm) plan in Tatarstan starting from 2 pm on 4 January until the consequences of adverse meteorological events are eliminated by ministries, departments and organizations which ensure the smooth movement of road and rail transport in winter.
On 3 January on the errand from the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situations and ensuring fire safety of the republic , held an urgent meeting of the Commission which discussed readiness of forces and means to ensure security during the New Year and Christmas holidays.
