Rustam Minnikhanov: Kazan needs municipal support of municipalities in construction of stadium and urban development

At a weekly republican meeting at Tatarstan Government House President of Tatarstan said that Kazan needs support of municipalities in construction of the stadium and urban development within the framework of preparation for summer Universiade.
The video conference session was held by President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov.
Rustam Minnikhanov said: “I would like to address heads of our municipalities. We are entering final straight. 112 days are left till Universiade. Kazan needs support in construction of the stadium and urban development. We have heavy workload. Even working twenty four hours a day urban services are not able to perform half of tasks.”
President of Tatarstan stressed that Universiade is a big federal project and its successful realisation will positively influence international image of the country.
Rustam Minnikhanov informed that a big event with participation of Russian leadership is to be held in Kazan on March 19.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
