The interview of Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev entitled “If you come to power do not think they will say “thank you!” published on March 27, 2013 in newspaper “Komsomolskaya Pravda” drew a wide response of republican media agencies.
Some media agencies interpret it in their own way saying that Mintimer Shaimiev is going to leave his post. However, there is no such a statement in the interview.
Mintimer Shaimiev commented on the following situation:
“I suppose my interview contains rather complete explanation of my further activity. I am not going to leave the post of Tatarstan State Counsellor. In the interview I focused on this issue because I still receive quite a lot of messages regarding social and economic problems that are within competence of other republican authorities.”
