Mintimer Shaimiev comments on the interview given to “Komsomolskaya Pravda”

The interview of Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev entitled “If you come to power do not think they will say “thank you!” published on March 27, 2013 in newspaper “Komsomolskaya Pravda” drew a wide response of republican media agencies.
Some media agencies interpret it in their own way saying that Mintimer Shaimiev is going to leave his post. However, there is no such a statement in the interview.
Mintimer Shaimiev commented on the following situation:
“I suppose my interview contains rather complete explanation of my further activity. I am not going to leave the post of Tatarstan State Counsellor. The thing is that I decided to limit my participation in state affairs and completely devote myself to the project on reconstructing Bolgar and Sviyazhsk, thus favouring our spiritual recreation. In the interview I focused on this issue because I still receive quite a lot of messages regarding social and economic problems that are within competence of other republican authorities.”
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatutllin informed that in the current year the Ministry will take part in implementation of five national projects and three state programmes with planned construction and capital overhaul of 172 facilities for the total sum of 17bn rubles.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov informed that it is expected to achieve a comparable growth of produce of 1.5%, including that in food production - at least 2.6% in the agricultural sector.
On 4 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situation and ensuring fire safety of the republic, has taken a decision to put into operation the “Buran” (Snow storm) plan in Tatarstan starting from 2 pm on 4 January until the consequences of adverse meteorological events are eliminated by ministries, departments and organizations which ensure the smooth movement of road and rail transport in winter.
On 3 January on the errand from the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situations and ensuring fire safety of the republic , held an urgent meeting of the Commission which discussed readiness of forces and means to ensure security during the New Year and Christmas holidays.
