Tatarstan State Counsellor, Chairman of the Board of guardians of the Republican fund for historical and cultural monuments Mintimer Shaimiev held a meeting dedicated to preparation of materials for presentation of the Bolgar historical and architectural complex and Sviyazhsk historical – architectural and natural-landscape complex for inclusion in UNESCO World heritage List.
Mintimer Shaimiev informed that the issues of inclusion of Bolgar and Sviyazhsk in UNESCO World heritage List would be considered at 37th session of UNESCO World Heritage Committee in Cambodia, Pnompenh on June 17-27, 2013.
“Bolgar and Sviyazhsk is the heritage of humanity. We have to present them to the public eye. It is our wonderful mission,” Mintimer Shaimiev said.
Aide to Tatarstan President on social issues, CEO of the Republican Fund “Revival” Tatyana Larionova presented the list of events where Bolgar and Sviyazhsk can be presented to people concerned. In particular, the International conference of UNESCO Associated schools, departments and centers on May 13-14 in Kazan; annual solemn event dedicated to official adoption of Islam by Volga Bulgaria on May 25 in Bolgar.
Tatyana Larionova continued that a special Internet portal about Bolgar and Sviyazhsk in Russian and English http://revival.tatarstan.ru would be launched and the booklet “Cultural heritage of Tatarstan: the ancient town of Bolgar and the island town of Sviyazhsk” in English and French will be published soon. Moreover, disks “The ancient town of Bolgar” and “The island town of Sviyazhsk” in English and French will be recorded.
Members of International expert board of “Revival” Fund, - Senior secretary of the Russian Commission for UNESCO affairs Grigory Ordzhonikidze and Chairman of the Russian national committee of the World cultural and natural heritage under the Russian Commission for UNESCO affairs Igor Makovetsky participated in discussion of issues on promoting information about Bolgar and Sviyazhsk.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
