Rustam Minnikhanov: “We are open for investments and will render maximum support to Czech companies willing to implement their projects in Tatarstan”

At the opening of Tatarstan-Czech business forum (Prague) President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that Czech Republic is one of leading partners of Tatarstan. He continued that trade turnover between Tatarstan and Czech Republic increased by 1,7 times in 2012 and made 223 mln US dollars.
Rustam Minnikhanov presented economic potential and investment opportunities of Tatarstan to participants of the forum. He thanked leadership of Czech Republic, Ministry of Industry and Trade, people involved in preparation for the forum for hospitality and organisation of the visit.
Rustam Minnikhanov expressed special gratitude to Ambassador of Russia to Czech Republic Sergei Kiselev and commercial representative of Russia in Czech Republic Aleksandr Turov for assistance in developing cooperation between Tatarstan and Czech Republic.
Rustam Minnikhanov mentioned Czech companies that are successfully developing in Tatarstan: “PSI holding”, “Favea”, “Komerční bank”, “D Plast-eftek”. The joint projects are the enterprise producing plastic for automotive industry and corrosion resistant coating, modernization of external lighting in Kazan, production of modern medicines, cooperation in the sphere of petrochemistry and engineering, construction of multi-purpose complex in the centre of Kazan, and agricultural projects.
According to Rustam Minnikhanov, Czech Republic and Tatarstan had established good cooperation. He reminded about direct flights Prague-Kazan, the Czech visa centre working in Kazan, and Tatarstan representation functioning in Prague. The 8th plenary session of Intergovernmental commission on economic, industrial, scientific and technical cooperation between Russia and Czech Republic and Tatarstan- Czech business forum were held in November 2012 in Kazan.
President of Tatarstan thanked Czech businessmen for interest expressed towards Tatarstan.
Rustam Minnikhanov told about Special Economic Zone “Alabuga”, “Innopolis” and “SMART-City Kazan” projects.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic.
