Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in solemn launching of ABS plastics production at OAO “Nizhnekamskneftekhim”

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Board chairman of OAO “Nizhnekamskneftekhim” and Director General of OAO TAIF Albert Shigabutdinov, Director General of OAO “Nizhnekamskneftekhim” Vladimir Busygin and Head of Nizhnekamsk municipal region Aidar Metshin participated in official launching of new production line at company’s synthetic rubber production plant.
Construction of new production unit was implemented under the programme of OAO “Nizhnekamskneftekhim” strategic development. The project was developed by company’s research and technology centre. Production capacity makes 50 thousand tons per year.
New rubber products are used at polystyrene production plant of OAO “Nizhnekamskneftekhim”, Russian and foreign companies producing high-impact polystyrene.
Production of ABS plastics was officially launched today. Production capacity of the unit is 60 thousand tons per year. The project developer is Polimeri Europa.
Rustam Minnikhanov thanked OAO “Nizhnekamskneftekhim” Board, project developers, and builders for successful implementation of the project.

On 10 March, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the development of the national Max messenger in Tatarstan and held in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communication of the republic Ilya Nachvin informed that according to the data of March 2026 about 1.5m residents of Tatarstan use domestic Max messenger.
On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
On 2 March in her address on the occasion of the Mentor’s Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: “Since 2025 this holiday established by Russian President Vladimir Putin has occupied a worthy place in the calendar of significant dates of our country, emphasizing the high status and significance of the mentoring mission.
