Rustam Minnikhanov participates in annual shareholders’ meeting of OAO “Nizhnekamskneftekhim”

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov participated in annual shareholders’ meeting of OAO “Nizhnekamskneftekhim”. Company’s Director General Vladimir Busygin made a keynote report at the meeting. Results of company’s activity for 2012 were summarized.
Company’s sales exceeded 125 bln rubles. Net profit made 16 bln 954 mln rubles. Currently OAO “Nizhnekamskneftekhim” has focused on implementation of a major project on construction of olefin complex with capacity of 1 mln tons per year. Licensing agreements for the whole range of technologies have been signed, documentation development is underway. Reconstruction of landfills was one of the most important environmental measures last year.
OAO “Nizhnekamskneftekhim” constantly improves its activity in the sphere of industrial safety and labour protection. Reregistration of hazardous industrial objects and insurance in accordance with legislation were carried out in 2012.
Annual and accounting reports have been approved at shareholders’ meeting.
The Board of directors comprised of 11 people and revision commission of 5 people has been formed. PricewaterhouseCoopers will be company’s auditor for 2013.
First session of new Board of directors was held after the annual shareholders’ meeting. Members of the Board supported Tatarstan President’s proposal and chose Director General of OAO TAIF Albert Shigabutdinov as the Board Chairman.
On 10 March, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the development of the national Max messenger in Tatarstan and held in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communication of the republic Ilya Nachvin informed that according to the data of March 2026 about 1.5m residents of Tatarstan use domestic Max messenger.
On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
On 2 March in her address on the occasion of the Mentor’s Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: “Since 2025 this holiday established by Russian President Vladimir Putin has occupied a worthy place in the calendar of significant dates of our country, emphasizing the high status and significance of the mentoring mission.
