Rustam Minnikhanov: We should use financial resources more efficiently

At a republican meeting of financial, treasury and tax agencies Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said: “We should spend budget funds efficiently without increasing expenses and expecting extra income.”
All municipal regions took part in the meeting at which results of Tatarstan consolidated budget execution for the first quarter of 2013 were discussed and tasks of financial, treasury and tax agencies for 2013 were set.
Rustam Minnikhanov continued that the balanced financial result of enterprises’ work for January 2013 was by 17 per cent less than for the same last year period. He reminded that Tatarstan is an export-oriented republic and the situation in EU countries affects republican economy. Besides, we felt a considerable impact when Russia joined the WTO, Rustam Minnikhanov said.
The President stated that priority issues are adoption of lean production principles, resource and energy consumption, and improvement of personnel efficiency.
Another matter of concern is a considerable increase in total amount of salaried in budget spheres.
“However, all set tasks are being fulfilled and all social benefits are paid,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
