Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in annual shareholders’ meeting of OAO “TAIF”

On April 26 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in annual shareholders’ meeting of OAO “TAIF”. Results of “TAIF” Group work for 2012 were summarized at the meeting. Company’s Director General Albert Shigabutdinov presented keynote report.
He told about problems faced by the company and pointed out priority issues. Notwithstanding all challenges, the best results for the whole company’s history were achieved in 2012.
Thus, balanced proceeds of “TAIF” Group made 452,2 bln rubles, total net profit – 59,4 bln rubles. 67,6 bln rubles of taxes and charges were paid to all budgets and non-budget funds. 25,7 bln rubles were allocated for implementation of Russian and Tatarstan important strategic investment projects. 6 bln rubles were directed for realization of nature protection measures, 3,4 bln rubles – for labour protection and industrial safety, 10,7 bln rubles – for charity, sponsorship, social and cultural sector, and backing of energy tariffs.
Total amount of investments of “TAIF” Group in social sphere accounted for 36 bln rubles. Annual and accounting reports were approved at annual shareholders’ meeting. Besides, new membership of the Board was elected.
First Deputy Director General of OAO “TAIF” Rustem Sulteev was elected as the Board Chairman.
Press conference for representatives of media companies was held later on the same day. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Director General of OAO “TAIF” Albert Shigabutdinov, and First Deputy Director General of OAO “TAIF” Rustem Sulteev answered journalists’ questions.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
