On May 14 at his meeting with a delegation of Bursa province led by the Governor Shahabettin Harput Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that Tatarstan is interested in cooperation with Bursa in automotive components production, light industry, health care, culture and education.
Welcoming guests, Rustam Minnikhanov reminded about the visit of Tatarstan delegation to Bursa in October 2012. He wished Turkish businessmen to establish new contacts during the current visit.
Rustam Minnikhanov continued that Turkey is one of leading partners for Tatarstan and Russia. In 2012 trade turnover between Tatarstan and Turkey made 929 mln dollars. Turkey holds the first place by the number of joint enterprises established in Tatarstan. The amount of Turkish investments into the republic makes 1,5 bln dollars. Rustam Minnikhanov also mentioned active cooperation in cultural sphere.
Tatarstan President told members of the delegation about republic economy, noting that Tatarstan and Bursa have much in common to develop bilateral relations.
In his turn Shahabettin Harput offered to sign agreement on cooperation between two countries. Among perspective areas he highlighted heath care, science and light industry. Rustam Minnikhanov supported Governor’s proposal and asked to begin preparing the agreement.
In his interview Shahabettin Harput said that Bursa holds leading positions in Turkey in engineering sphere, automotive and light industries, and food production.
Rustam Minnikhanov continued that Bursa is a bright example of a rapidly developing region with wide experience in the sphere of small and medium-size business development, and creation of production sites.
He told that during the visit members of Bursa delegation will visit Kazan and Trans-Kama zone, get familiar with Tatarstan economic and investment potential.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
