Golden medal of Tatarstan Academy of Sciences presented to Mintimer Shaimiev

On May 15 at an annual general meeting of Tatarstan Academy of Sciences President of the Academy Akhmet Mazgarov presented the Golden medal of Tatarstan Academy of Sciences to Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev for great personal contribution to science development in Tatarstan.
Akhmet Mazgarov reminded that the Academy was founded in accordance with the Decree of the first Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev on September 30, 1991. “Once again I would like to underline an important role of this person in establishment and development of our academy and preservation of scientific potential of our republic. Mintimer Sharipovich has been always known for understanding important moments of historical era and urgent problems of people and republic,” Akhmet Mazgarov said.
He added that currently Mintimer Shaimiev continues going the same way by managing a big project aimed at reconstruction of two historical monuments – the island town of Sviyazhsk and ancient town of Bolgar.
Mintimer Shaimiev believes that improvement of living standards and meeting constantly growing human needs are impossible without high technology products and science.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic.
