On May 16 during the visit of Kazakhstan delegation to Tatarstan Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with Mayor of Almaty Akhmetzhan Esimov at the Kazan Kremlin.
Before that, members of Kazakhstan delegation visited Universiade Village and Tennis Academy. At Kazan Federal University Akhmetzhan Esimov spoke to Kazakhstan students.
During the visit to Kazan IT park economic and investment potential of the republic were presented to the guests.
Mayor of Almaty also took part in a meeting with Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev where the project “Tatarstan cultural heritage: the ancient town of Bolgar and the island town of Sviyazhsk” was presented.
Later on the same day Akhmetzhan Esimov met with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.
In his interview afterwards he said that members of the delegation had come to Kazan in order to learn more about the process of preparation for Universiade. They find Tatarstan experience very important, because the biggest Kazakhstan city is getting ready to host winter Universiade 201, he said.
Akhmetzhan Esimov was especially impressed by Kazan IT park. “Innopolis”, “Smart City”, and SEZ “Alabuga” projects are also useful for Kazakhstan, he continued.
Akhmetzhan Esimov invited Tatarstan President to visit Almaty.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
