Rustam Minnikhanov: “Transfer to innovative development guarantee competitiveness of petrochemical sector”

On May 23 at 3d international forum “Big chemistry” in Ufa Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that introduction of innovations in petrochemical and oil-refining sectors is a necessary condition for preservation and increase of competitiveness of these sectors at Russian and global markets.
This year 800 delegates will discuss main problems and lines of development of oil-gas and chemical complex.
Speaking at the forum, Rustam Minnikhanov welcomed the audience on behalf of Tatarstan oil-gas and chemical enterprises. He spoke about innovative development of republic’s oil-gas and chemical complex. Rustam Minnikhanov stressed that in connection of growing competition on Russian and global markets measures on increasing competitiveness of Russian industry should be taken. Current situation requires new long-term solutions.
Tatarstan President continued that petrochemical and oil-refining industries are main growing points of republic’s economy. Due to most rapidly developing economic sector, the sum of industrial output made 1,4 trillion rubles, the industrial production index - 107 per cent.
Tatarstan oil-gas and chemical enterprises are most innovative among Tatarstan economic sectors. The third programme aimed at development of oil-gas and chemical complex is being realised at the moment. Tatarstan focuses on innovative and investment activity in the sphere of import-substituting polymers production and establishment of enterprises manufacturing end products.
Rustam Minnikhanov told more about “Ammonia” plant under construction, OAO “Nizhnekamskneftekhim”, OAO “Tatneft”, and technopolis “Himgrad”.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
