According to RT Government Head Rustam Minnikhanov, domestic aircraft building needs national revival project
12 August 2008, Tuesday
The branch can not be revived and take a remarkable place in world and home market without modernization of domestic aircraft building on the basis of modern technologies.
Tatarstan Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov reported about it at scientific-practical conference “Modern technologies – the key point in revival of domestic aircraft building”.
The conference is held in Kazan within 4th international exhibition “Aerospace technologies and equipment Kazan - 2008” (August, 12-15).
The main equipment at most aircraft enterprises is still the same as it was in 90-s. It has surely become out-of-date. The quantity of foreign airplanes imported to our country says a lot about branch fall.
According to Tatarstan Government Head modernization is possible only with state support, which will help to decide the problems of unsatisfactory economic-financial situation, losses of staff, absence of new projects at aircraft enterprises.
Besides Rustam Minnikhanov believes that the main disadvantage is absence of systematic and complex work in making up of decisions.
According to him beginning from 2001 Federal Target Program (FCP) of civil aircraft equipment development for 2002-2010 till 2015 year was reconsidered 3 times.
RT Prime Minister announced that Tatarstan will continue considering the problems of aircraft branch for we are aircraft republic.
“During the period of reforms a number of aircraft plants in the country stopped working and we couldn’t stay aside, - he said. – I regret that once the idea of Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev to create a special national project of aircraft building revival was not supported. The project would contain the technology of work at every stage.”
Tatarstan Government Head considers it’s necessary to create the project of domestic aircraft building revival and to set the task connected with existing corporation and holding. Also it’s necessary to create the Scientific Council that would accumulate these tasks and approaches for branch reforming on the whole.
