Tatarstan President meets with participants of Hyundai motor rally

On June 4 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with Director General of OAO “Hyundai Motor CIS” Mr. Ku Yong-Gi, heads of Hyundai office in Russia and journalists of top Russian automobile magazines who had come to Kazan to take part in motor rally “Kazan-Moscow” dedicated to forthcoming Universiade.
To the point, Hyundai is the general partner of the student Games in Kazan.
Rustam Minnikhanov welcomed Mr. Ku Yong-Gi and thanked him for cooperation with Tatarstan during preparation for Universiade. Mr. Ku Yong-Gi, in his turn, said that it was a great privilege for the company.
During the meeting journalists asked Rustam Minnikhanov about development of automotive industry in Tatarstan, new race track Kazanring, and preparation for the student Games.
Rustam Minnikhanov invited journalists to visit other events in Kazan that may be interesting for automobile magazines.
On 4 May at a briefing held in the Tatarstan Government House it was told that currently there are 92 combat veterans, the last witnesses of the Great Patriotic War (WW II) of 1941-1945, living in the republic. The briefing also informed about veterans’ support measures and how the republic is planning to celebrate the Victory Day on 9 May.
The Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva told that names of 353 Heroes of the Soviet Union from Tatarstan “ are immortalized in street names, on memorials, in monuments and squares and, of course, in our memory”. “The Victory Day is the day of memory, mourning and joy. It is the event which today should be clearly understandable to all young people and younger generation of Tatarstan,” she said.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
