At a ceremony of handing in fire and rescue vehicles to units of the Chief Directorate of Russian Emergencies Ministry in Tatarstan on 20 January, the Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin said the units servicemen that lives of people depend on their quick response.
He said that “having new vehicles is not just an evidence of high assessment of firefighters and rescue teams of the republic but also a vote of confidence of the residents”.
Pesoshin concluded that new vehicles would help to improve the everyday work of the rescuers and ensure safety of the coming public-political and international sports events in the region.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Russian Deputy Emergencies Minister Nikolay Grechushkin said that the new vehicles will help to raise the tactical efficiency of the units and provide timely help to the population during fires. He wished the staff to master the vehicles in the shortest time possible and use them efficiently so that they lasts for many years.
