Aleksey Pesoshin and Nikolay Grechushkin have taken part in a joint collegium of the Chief Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry and the Tatarstan Emergencies Ministry

On 20 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and the Russian Deputy Emergencies Minister Nikolay Grechushkin took part in a joint collegium of the Chief Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry and the Tatarstan Emergencies Ministry held in Kazan.

The meeting discussed the outcomes of work of the civil defense and the territorial system of prevention and elimination of emergencies in Tatarstan in 2021 and the tasks set up for 2022.

Speaking at the meeting, Grechushkin said that currently the Russian Government has adopted a program to reequip the Emergencies Ministry of Russia by 2030 that will make it possible to provide new technique to fire and rescue department of the Ministry.

 He noted that by its technical facilities Tatarstan can be compared to Moscow and St. Petersburg departments and the example of the republic in repairing and refitting old facilities financed from the regional budget is quite exemplary and useful. “Emergencies Ministry closely works with such leading enterprises of the republic as the KAMAZ Automaker and the Kazan Helicopter Plant.  We purchase modern machines to work in arctic conditions and in particular we have signed a contract for 9 MI-38 and 4 MI-8 helicopters fully equipped for flying the North. Within this program we are also purchasing retrofitted KAMAZ trucks” – Grechushkin said.

Before the collegium, Aleksey Pesoshin and Nikolay Grechushkin handed in keys from 14 fire-rescue machines. Three fire tank trucks and a diving recompression chamber were paid for from the regional budget and the rest of special vehicles were procured by Russian Emergencies Ministry.

In the last two years as many as 50 vehicles were procured and 75 fire and rescue vehicles underwent capital repairs with the support of the Russian Emergencies Ministry and Tatarstan President.
