Aleksey Pesoshin: In 2021 Tatarstan carried out work in digitalization of all spheres of life of residents, state and local-self-government bodies

On 26 January Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a joint meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic and the regional Ministry of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communications held by the Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and dedicated to the results of work in 2021 and the Year of Digitalization being held in Tatarstan in 2022.  Russian Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media Maksut Shadayev and members of the State Council and the Cabinet of Ministers of Tatarstan, heads of departments and territorial bodies of federal structures, regional organizations and municipalities also took part in the meeting via video link.

 

Speaking at the meeting Pesoshin said that in 2021 the republic carried out work in digitalization of all spheres of life of residents, state and local-self-government bodies. Public and municipal services were transformed into an e-form. “Large work was done in connecting socially important facilities to high-speed Internet, mastering digital skills of public and municipal workers, in approving the strategy of digital transformation of economy, social sphere and public administration and all of you present here took an active part in solving this task” he said.

Taking into consideration that the current year was announced the Year of Digitalization in Tatarstan, the President of the republic took a decision about comprehensive development of digital infrastructure and allocation of additional financing in the amount of more than 1.6bn roubles on digital projects.

In his welcoming speech the Russian- Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media Maksut Shadayev said that issues of digitalization are related to all spheres of work both of municipal and regional bodies. Tatarstan has always been among leaders in implementation of modern digital technologies and many solutions developed  here  such as the e-documents turnover and the e-trade platform were later introduced all over the country, he continued. He added that representatives of many Russian regions come to Tatarstan to learn and later implement the digitalization projects.

Speaking about federal initiatives and new projects, the Russian Minister reminded that toady the access to the Internet is one of the key conditions for comfortable way of life and the work to provide such access has begun all over the country. Shadayev informed the participants of the meeting that the development of the infrastructure of high speed dispute using mobile devices is going on and the additional financing for that is expected.

The federal Minister reminded that Tatarstan has completed connecting schools and first aid stations to broad band Internet and launched the process of development of Wi-Fi networks at all schools. This year the Russian Ministry is launching the project of providing all school teaches with protected tablets on Russian operational basis and taking into consideration the readiness of the republic, we think that is must be one of the first to join this project. In this respect Wi-Fi and tablets of teachers, e curriculum and possibility to use tablets for showing the e-content will bring the school education at a new level, he said.

Moreover, serious work is going on in Tatarstan on providing state and social services in e-form and we can see that the administration of the republic is motivated to continue this work, Shadayev continued. Thus he reminded that the republic together with Moscow and Moscow region has become a pilot region for “social Treasury” project (to increase the targeted orientation of social support) and the project of introducing e-passports.

“We think that it is possible to establish a regional center for competences of improvement of state and municipal services in Tatarstan The Year of Digitalization announced in Tatarstan will be supported by the Russian Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media.”, Shadayev concluded.
