Rustam Minnikhanov: “We are willing to help Russian railways in implementing the project of construction of high-speed railway lines”

On June 7 at his meeting with first Vice-president of OAO “Russian railways” Aleksandr Misharin in Kazan Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that Tatarstan leadership is interested in construction of high-speed railway line between Moscow and Kazan and is willing to render overall support in the project implementation.
Rustam Minnikhanov considers the project to be very important for it will enable economic development of the country and increase mobility of population. Tatarstan President thanked company’s executives for making principal decision concerning construction of high-speed railway lines.
Aleksandr Misharin, in his turn, informed that the programme presupposes construction of 4200 km of new high-speed lines, and reconstruction of 6900 km of the old ones. He continued that implementation of the project will promote adoption of new technologies and development of regions.
According to first Vice-president of OAO “Russian railways”, implementation of the project has started, and OAO “Russian railways” in cooperation with Tatarstan leadership should decide on certain issues.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
