On 15 March speaking at a briefing in the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, the regional Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade German Lerner told that a set of measures to support SMEs are being developed in the republic.
“The Ministry is currently gathering information on demand of enterprises in certain kinds of imported products. And today somewhere we can see interruption of logistics chains of our manufacturers”, he said.
“However, there are good mechanisms to restore these chains and we are considering both interregional cooperation in the country and our foreign partners”, Lerner added. “We have a good network of Tatarstan representatives abroad whom we coordinate and give them the tasks to find possible supply chains for our enterprises”, he stated.
Speaking about retail prices, Lerner said that the monitoring showed that from 11 to 14 March detergent, toilet paper, diapers, toothpaste and tooth brush prices have been growing in the republic. He stressed that the monitoring of goods stock by retail prices is done daily.
“To prevent the shortage and to provide full supply of goods to wholesale and retail it is necessary to organize joint work of municipalities and suppliers to prevent disruptions and unjustified growth of wholesale-factory prices”, the Deputy Minister said.
Lerner added that according to retail chain there is sufficient stock of non-food essential goods and there is no buying fever for sanitary goods and household detergents.
