Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov meets with Deputy Chairman of Macedonia Government, Minister of Finances Zoran Staverski

On June 17 at their meeting at the Kazan Kremlin Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Deputy Chairman of Macedonia Government, Minister of Finances Zoran Staverski discussed prospective areas of cooperation.
Delegation of Macedonia Republic led by Zoran Staverski arrived in Kazan with a working visit (June 16-17).
Rustam Minnikhanov thanked guests for the interest towards Tatarstan. “I hope that your visit will favour development of relations between Macedonia and Tatarstan,” he said.
Rustam Minnikhanov continued that unfortunately the level of trade-economic relations between two republics is low. However, many international companies implement their projects in Tatarstan and all conditions were provided for investors. So, Macedonian businessmen can also find areas to develop their business.
Among prospective spheres he pointed out energy sector, petrochemistry, motor industry, pharmacology and medicine, production and processing of agricultural goods, tourism and education.
Zoran Staverski said that Macedonia is interested in cooperation and Tatarstan industrial and economic potential speak about its rapid development. He noted Tatarstan achievements in IT sphere, education and creation of infrastructure.
Zoran Staverski reminded about Agreement signed between Russia and Macedonia Republic on recognition of diplomas of higher educational institutions.
During their visit to Tatarstan members of Macedonia delegation visited High Technology Technopark IT-park, took part in presentation of trade-economic, industrial and investment potential of Macedonia and Tatarstan, visited Universiade Village and saw historical and cultural monuments at the Kazan Kremlin.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
