Aleksey Pesoshin: Over 18,000 households subject to additional gasification in Tatarstan

2 April 2022, Saturday

On April 2, speaking at a regional meeting in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that 18,164 households in 903 settlements are potentially subject to additional gasification in Tatarstan. Additional gasification work is being carried out under the instructions of Russian President.

Estimated total funds required for the implementation of additional gasification activities in 2021–2023 amount to almost 4 billion roubles. The cost of one connection with the construction of a gas pipeline is about 220,000 roubles.

As of April 1, 2022, citizens of the republic submitted 12,540 applications. The technical possibility of connection is provided for 1,992 households. A total of 363 of them were connected. Pesoshin emphasized that insufficient work with the population is underway in municipalities to ensure that households are ready for gas supply - only 18 per cent of them are connected. As a result of the additional inventory, the number of households subject to additional gasification increased by over 40 per cent.

Prime Minister of the republic added that gas engineers carry out explanatory work with applicants on the issues of additional gasification. Addressing the heads of municipalities, Pesoshin urged them to accelerate their work in this direction. “It is necessary to explain to the population that by the end of this year the state has given the opportunity to carry out gas to the border free of charge and it is necessary to use this opportunity. In the future you will have to pay for this,” Tatarstan Prime Minister concluded.
