5 April 2022, Tuesday

On April 5, speaking at the videoconference in the Government House of the republic with participation of all municipal regions and devoted to holding a nationwide online voting on the selection of public spaces for improvement in 2023, Tatarstan Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Utility Sector Marat Ayzatullin has said that in 2022, Tatarstan plans to renovate 1,200 yards with funding amounting to 9 billion roubles.

“I would like to say that in the current situation, the reduction this programme is not planned,” the Minister emphasized.

Ayzatullin said that the implementation of «Our Yard» programme started in 2020 at the initiative of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. By its coverage, the regional programme has no analogues in Russia, the speaker said.

In two years, 2,167 territories near apartment houses were improved for a total sum amounting to 16 billion roubles. Over 660,000 people live in apartment buildings adjacent to the renovated yards. Ayzatullin said that from April 15 to May 30, Russia will vote for the facilities for improvement that will appear under the federal project “Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment” of the national project “Housing and Urban Environment”.

In addition to public spaces (selection of parks, squares and embankments), residents will be able to identify 200 yards that will be improved as a priority under the Our Yard programme. As many as 3087 yards participate in the voting. You can vote for parks and yards on the State Services Portal of Tatarstan.

The survey includes the selection of priority public spaces for improvement in 2023 in all 45 regions of the republic. Residents will be able to vote for only one territory in a particular area or city.

Deputy Director of the Fund “The Institute of development of cities in Tatarstan” Venera Kamalova took part in the briefing.

The briefing concluded with questions from the media.
